Maths skills for a career in fixed income

Folks, back on topic! Anyone who actually work as fixed income analyst can share some thoughts?

I know a bond analyst that has the CFA but does everything on the computer anyways.

Many job postings just say x year experience in the field required without identifying key skills. Want to hear anecdotal stories…
