In Jan 2011, Merrill Lynch announced Merrill Edge, a platform allowing financial advisors to advise clients online instead of the traditional person-to-person. How has this fared so far? Do you see this taking off and changing the industry?

If I remember correctly, if you link enough B of A balances they give you 30 free self directed trades a month. That was the only appealing thing to me.
Umm…no, it’s not going to change the industry. It’s not even that innovative. Just something ML had to do to keep up with Schwab and Fidelity.
