No, but you ain’t gonna get a good one if you’re throwing down 10G’s. And getting Tony Guido & Co. as your prime broker is pretty much the kiss of death for raising any assets in the future.
Last time I went through that process was pre-2008 and BBs required 10 at that time, so it’s probably more now. Could probably get a non-BB for less, but as JLTD said, that will often be a non-starter for potential investors in a post-Madoff world.
