If one reproduces financial data provided in a research report by standard & poors, but did not acknowledge the source, is that plagiarism?

Why not…??
It depends if it is widely known information or not. The fed funds rate would not require an acknowledgement. A companies financial information would not be either in my opinion because it can be accessed from many different sources. A credit analysis and an opinion on a company would. They will give you more information on that most likely.
