So wondering where everyone is … so far I have done 2 Schweser exams…CFAI mock and 1 Sample CFAI…average around 65%…hope I can hit lowe 70’s on the last few exams
40 morning, 41 afternoon. first mock i’ve ever done
Toronto- I’m in the same boat as you… At the beginning I was averaging around low 60s, now averaging high 60s. This is gonna be close.
I’ve done three. Averaging in the mid 70s.

Done a few, mid 70’s. Seem to be making stupid errors and getting really frustrated with the wording of some questions. Ofcourse it doesn’t help when the CFA Mock has errors in it.
Chuckrox8, did you fail last year? I think I remember you on this board from 09 for L1, and I thought you were doing quite well? I couldn’t take it last year so this is my first (and hopefully only, Krishna willing) shot at L2. I’m struggling.
So somehow I’m getting either 6/6 on a vignette or 2/6

What’s up dude. Yeah, we put in some good time for L1, I thought I recognized your name. I did unfortunately fail last year (Band 8). I put forth about the same effort for L2 as I did for L1. Turns out that’s not such a great idea and here I am again. Nobody to blame but me. Hopefully you don’t learn the hard way, but L2 and L1 are night and day from one another. L1 looks like a cake walk in retrospect. FRA tore me a new one last year. I might have actually scored a 40 in it, dead serious. You can slightly fail FRA and have a chance at passing, but scoring under 50 is L2 suicide. I’m right there with you. I’ve come to realize that I will only ever know about 85% of the material. It’s just impossible to know it all. I’m just continuing to take mocks throughout the rest of the week and hoping that I peak at just the right time.
ignore schweser mocks. they are way easier compared to CFAI mocks.
Yeah man, good to see you as well. I haven’t put in the time to do well, but I’m getting >70% every time on FRA and >80% on Equity. Bombing Quant (literally don’t know a single thing, so I’ve just guessed on every Quant question on every mock I’ve done) and Derivatives. Hopefully my strength in FRA and Equity will put me over the top, but judging from my 62.5% on the 2011 CFAI Mock, it’s not looking so hot. Good luck man, glad to hear you’re better prepared this year. Sounds like you’re light years ahead of me 4 days before the exam, ha.
CFAI average = 80% (2011 and 2010) Average including Schweser Exams 1-5 = 83.6% The right combination of vignettes on the exam and I’ll pass. The wrong kind and I’ll fail. Just have to roll the dice.
Grumble - barring a heart attack on exam day, you’re going to pass. Keep up the good work.
All I have done is CFA mock exams 2009 and 2010 and AM from 2011 2009: AM 98% (got 59/60 and I was shocked - never found easier exam in my entire life than this one lol) PM 85% 2010: AM 83% (Alternative investments commodities set killed me in this exam) PM 93% 2011: AM 87% (though I thought I would score much lower cuz i found it way harder than rest) PM tonight will know hope actual exam will be in same level of difficulty thought I didn’t get chance to do schweser OA
Omar, do Schweser Exam 1 from book 2. I have found it (and i think others agree) to be the hardest i have taken so far. Done 5 schweser mocks, 1 live schweser mock, and the CFAI Mock. Total avg is 80. Ready to get this over with, and cant wait for saturday night. And like grumble said, there is always some luck in what the items sets are. Lets hope for the best.
omar I think you are ready for the real exam… don’t peak too early.

Spanishesk - will try to do it if I have time … thinking of going over formulae instead … find it better … and yes if item sets given on exam weren’t of topics I mastered, I’m screwed lol … this is why I miss level 1
