I just took the AM mock CFA org mock exam; is this supposed to be on par with the real exam. It seemed outrageously easy and I scored a 48/60 without having started my review yet (definitely have been studying a bunch but need review big time). I remember LI being harder. I have also been taking the Schweser exams and they are 10 times harder than the mock. Should I not get my hopes up?
Great score! Here’s the thing about the mocks though (and any other test you take)… they are pretty representative of CFAI’s testing _for those topics_, but all that really tells you is that you are doing well on those particular areas. Chances are half of what was tested in the mock will not show up on the real deal, so don’t try to read too much into it. Personally, once I get through most of the tests, I intend to go back and look at the topics that weren’t well tested by Schweser/CFAI because those are just as likely to show up. I want to make sure I understand those well since any holes there won’t be pointed out by testing… I remember last year a lot of us expected to see FX on the exam because they kept testing it, but sure enough… it never showed.
Stop studying and give us a chance then.
Don’t worry, I only did well on 1AM because they didn’t test quant, derivatives, or alternative assets yet 
1PM (which I’ll take on Sunday) is guaranteed to be much lower!!
yes, I took PM this afternoon and scored well below 80% but well enough to pass. Still not comfortable and should be better after the next 23 days of intense studying.
