Modigliani and Miller

Ah, nothing like trying to study with a sick 1yr old in the house. I have to say, my wife, bless her heart, is as supportive as they come but the little tax deduction is not quite as understanding… Anyway - pulling my head up from the textbooks a bit, I came across this little tidbit in The Economist. Remember Modigliani and Miller from the corporate finance section? That paper - from 1958 - was voted one of the 20 best papers in the 100 year history of The American Economic Review. Also on the list: Cobbs-Douglas, Shiller, Friedman, Hayek, Krugman, Kuznets… Link here: http://pubs.aeaweb.org/doi/pdfplus/10.1257/aer.101.1.1
