Moss waived!

wooow that was fast! lol http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5752939

Wow…maybe he can work on his arm a little bit and take the reigns from Kitna

Fox Business news anchor reported that Moss has been “waived off” lol…

C’mon Jerry u know u want Moss on the boys. pick em up

Moss spent his entire press conference talking about how much he’s missing the Patriots and that BB is the greatest coach ever. Barely talked about the Vikings.

Will be interesting to see how many teams pass on claiming him. Can’t see any way that the other AFC contenders allow him to fall back to NE.

he could be a good fit in SD. gates can’t continue to be 80% of the offense.

Does anyone actually know how the waiver process works? I don’t. Do all teams submit their claim at the same time and the team with highest priority gets him, or does the league go down the list one-by-one and request a claim or no claim? I know he becomes an unrestriced free agent if no team claims him.

I think it goes in order of record (worst -> best), so the worst team has first right of refusal. I also believe there is only a 24hr window to pick up the contract.

I know it goes in reverse order or record, but don’t know if the league calls up Buffalo and asks if they want to claim him and then calls Dallas if Buffalo says no, etc. Or, do all the teams who want him submit their claim at the same time and he goes to the team with the highest waiver priority that submitted a claim? Since there is a defined waiver period, I guess it’s the latter.

titans picked him up.

after the titans dealings with pac-man jones, randy moss is like a little innocent kid.

Even if you ignore his attitude issues, the problem with Moss is that he no longer has top speed to beat cornerbacks at will, and has said in the past he’s not into catching balls from the slot. So as a team you need a top QB to take advantage of the jump balls and sideline deep throws. I don’t see Vince Young making the throws his team needs to take advantage of Moss’ strengths.
