Most expensive thing (for consumption) you've spent money on?

If houses are excluded, then out-of-pocket medical expenses a few years ago are first, cars in aggregate are second and grad school is third.

Besides my house, probably my Dolce & Gabanna / Gucci shoes.

Other than a house, probably a horse. (Three of them, and counting.)

NANA Hachiko - do you own Coach or Michael Kors products?

Hmm… i have received a gift from Coach a long long time ago, but no Michael Kors.

why?

Just trying to get an understanding of how the brand is viewed vis a vis Kors.

No worries though if you’re not a fan.

Definitely not a fan… Coach is tolerable (not my favourite, but i wouldn’t re-gift it as long as it’s not the monogram handbags), but MK is just tragic (IMHO)…

I am glad i didn’t spend more on my shoes or handbags than a car, lol.

One of the many things that fascinated me on my visit to Japan was the obsession with western brands. There was a 1/2 mile long queue outside the Abercrombie & Fitch store in Ginza. Had never seen anything like that in my life.

…and Forever 21, and GAP (when it first opened), and Krispy Kreme…

People are always obsessed with new things, things they don’t usually have, and they always find foriegn brands better.

Although i have to say, Japanese people line up for Japanese brands as well.

A watch for my mom on her 50th. 5K

My mom would slap me if I bought her anything for 5k.

I once wrote a check for a 5 Series BMW.

6k for the boobs.

Same as the engagement ring but way more enjoyable.

14k in loans for education

5k for my car (should’ve been more, bought from my dad - 2006 volvo s60)

For yourself?

nice…how often do you need a new set? i’ve heard 10 years. the wife is going into the shop for a new front end and i’m thinking of throwing in new cans.

She is slapping herself now for asking for it… It was years ago

What would be a new front end other than cans? A face lift?

they call it a baby tuck. brings them back to pre-baby form. apparantly it’s very difficult to do with exercise if you have a C section because they cut through the muscle and don’t repair it afterwards.

^ Hmm, the Mrs. has had 2 c-sections. How do I get her to think a baby tuck is her idea?
