MPS calculator

It’s not working for me. but my scores are really crazy. got only 2 section above 70% and 1 under 50%!!! Still passed. I still believe, CFAI made a failure :wink: So I directly enrolled for Level III :slight_smile: I guess FSA saved me!!! In general I think if I had maybe 1 or 2 more question wrong, then I would have failed Item Set Q# Topic Max Pts <=50% 51%-70% >70% - Alternative Investments 18 - - * - Corporate Finance 36 - * - - Derivatives 36 - * - - Economics 18 - * - - Equity Investments 72 - * - - Ethical & Professional Standards 36 - * - - Financial Statement Analysis 72 - - * - Fixed Income Investments 36 - * - - Portfolio Management 18 * - - - Quantitative Methods 18 - * -

To the quant nerds…can the failure band be used to figure out the MPS?

does anyone know if the exam results as posted on the CFA website are pre-curve or post-curve?

66.0% 65.8% 79.2% 55.8% I feel very lucky!

fail!!! 65.0% 65.6% 75.8% 60.0%

Pass 70.0% 69.7% 86.7% 57.5%

77.0% 79.1% 95.0% 72.5% Passed

78%, 80.3%, 96.7%, 73.3% Wasn’t expecting these scores after leaving the exam but I’ll take it.

40/60/80: 78.0% Bayesian: 79.7% Maximum: 97.5% (Highly unlikely) Minimum: 70.8%

Overall 360 * 76.0% 77.5% 94.2% 69.2%

Fascinating…i know not everyone buys into this method, but we’ve seen 65 pass and 66 fail.

Smarshy, I got 74% too… Woooopie!

I’ve been thinking about this, and really JoeyD is the one to answer. But I setup a Google docs form for people to input their scores (not as easily as this calculator, but almost–and at least it works). But in thinking about it, I think what you really need is just a few exceptional scores to narrow it down. That’s all. For instance, from T-Schulz post we know that the MPS must be below 74.2%. We could also take some high scores from the fail thread and find a lower limit. From there we could perhaps speculate as the distribution of the likely MPS within that range, but at that point I’d like some others to take over. I’m just interested in collecting the data right now.
