Multicollinearity reduction question

From Kaplan:

Age is 1, so why wouldn’t we remove the variable “age”?

Age has a correlation of +1.00 with itself. The main diagonal will always be +1.00 to represent variances; the off-diagonal elements are the correlations between different variables.

That sir was a better explanation on “off-diagonal elements” then the two pages in the Level 1 textbook! Finally that term makes sense, thank you.

I know a lot of people who would answer B.
