Hi guys and gals, I’m trying to wrap my head around the chapters on linear and multiple regression. Is this a skill that is used often in the profession? Who uses it and to what end? Thanks, Peter
I use regression all the time as an analyst. Regression helps establish relationships between factors such as revenue and economic data. You can use the regression results as part of a forecast methodology. Regression is a very simple and useful tool.
Don’t expect to make a successful analyst if you are not good at regression analysis. I use it all the time and I know many others do as well.
