Basic but very important question to retakers. Do u remeber last year any vignatee having nested questions? Not directly nested but indireclty. Like for example equity vignette questions 1) find FCFF for current yaer 2) find value of equity using gordon grrowth … So indirectly you should know answer to first question,in order to answer second. Is it ths way in real exam. I appeared for L2 year bt i dont remeber. Hope u get my point.

I thought that I had read/been told that there are no nested questions on the real exam, but I’ve just read the CFA Exam FAQ and see no mention of it there.
Technically every question can be answered “independent” of each other. In your example I can answer question 2 without looking at question 1 at all. But yes, part of answering question two would give you the answer to question 1 so basically you need to know your stuff!
Hey, yes ro424 is correct. Technically speaking there are NO nested questions. I myself actually started a thread about this very same topic a few days ago and the conclusion is that there are no nested (or 2 part questions so-to-speak). Here is the thread: http://www.analystforum.com/phorums/read.php?12,1157170,1157191#msg-1157191 There ya go. Job done.
