Has anybody else noticed how Kaplan appears to have changed up the online interface for 2015? I took L1 and passed in June of 2014 and used solely Kaplan. Worked great. But now Kaplan has taken away a lot of the cool features. The biggest that I can see thus far, is that you no longer have the ability to Browse QBank Questions from LOS’s. That was huge and I am disppointed Kaplan seems to have removed this. Also, does anybody else’s QBank make references to the wrong LOS as a source? I have only explored Quant up to this date but all the LOS from 10 state that they are from 12 in the QBank…very annoying and displeasing.
Wish everyone the best of luck and I will contact Schweser today and post an update when I get one.
UPDATE: Called Tech Support and Customer Service. They indicated that they did “studies” and found that not many students browsed questions by LOS, so that feature was removed. Another valuable feature that was removed was the Search for Question by Question ID. So now you cannot write down hard question IDs and come back to them at a later date. Horrible. I also noticed that the time feature has been removed. Lastly, the reference LOSs are sometimes completely wrong–meaning wrong Reading # and thus wrong LOS. Also my quizzes freeze sometimes half way through for no reason. Honestly, it really looks like they drastically cut down on the whole Online Tools and changed providers. This is very frustrating and I wrote Kaplan telling them of their grave mistake. Those were such valuable features. I wish everyone the best of luck.
you also can no longer choose the difficulty of the questions… What the hell are they thinking? why would they take away so many features…
you can choose the questions from a specific LOS when you create a custom quiz. I find this annoying as I preferred to just browse questions, not have to creat a custom quiz everytime.
Checking in on this old thread. I save Qbank till i’m done with all the reading.
While the lack of ability to isolate “hard” questions is a bummer, I like the “compare with others” feature. It doesnt mean much because you don’t exactly know who makes up the others. But since Schweser is the biggest prep provideri feel like they have a decent sample size
