I started in 2011 in NYC, trained for a few months, didn’t train formally for a few years, but kept up bag work. I started back up last year, but my Achilles both tore and I was out until early this year.

I started going heavy again in October and am into sparring more than before. I really only did light sparring before. I sparred somewhat heavy a couple weeks ago and I have to say, ate a few too many lower leg kicks which hurt a lot more than they look.

I’m having fun though and getting better, it is challenging.
