Congratulations, Sean!
This was the last time I was going to try the level 1 exam. Last time I was band 10 fail and with having a new baby I couldn’t spend as much time studying as I would of liked. Weirtd though as I kind of feel like I know the material really well now.
I was skeptical about passing for the December exam and didn’t feel that confident leaving the exam. When I got the email I didnt bother opening it because I am used to the disappointment of failing. MY wife cleverly promised to buy me a new iPad if I did pass though. She must have been confident that I would fail.
Can you imagine the elation I felt opening that mail and seeing the words, Congratulations, I couldnt believe it!!!
I can’t tell you how I feel right now, I feel vindicated. It is such a weight been lifted from my shoulder having passed this exam and now I can look forward to studying some new material…thank goodness.
I have learnt from my previous attempts(4th time lucky) that entering this programme with 0 financial knowledge that I will not be signing up for the 2nd level straight away.
Instead I am going to order the books online and study at my own pace for a year and then sign up for the exam next year. I feel it is too much pressure to sign up immediately with no prior knowledge of the level 2 content etc…
Well for now at least i can sit here with a satisfied smile on my face that I have vanquished my demon … level 1 waaaahahahaah
As you can probably tell I am pretty stoked right now!
And for those that didn’t pass don’t give up you can do it too!!!
Congratulations, casius!
Sir, although I do not have a baby or a wife. I can tell you our situations are VERY similar. I failed bailed 10 after sitting in June and I told myself along with all my friends and family that it was ONE MORE TIME. Although I am not going to wait the 18 months or so to sit for L2 and going to just go for it, I have the same advice to anyone out there. If you are close or atleast making progress in your attempts…DO NOT GIVE UP! You can prevail with hard work and determination and I think both of our stories are proof. I too didn’t check my result until after work today around 6 PM, although the “e-mail” was sitting in my inbox for 5 hours.
When I got home, I changed clothes into workout gear to prepare myself to open that “e-mail”, learn of possible failure and go for a run to clear my head. Little did I know, I too would see the word congratulations as well. I quickly went from going for a run to opening a beer a brought back from Belgium that I have been planning to open for quite a while now. Good stuff and good luck when you decide to sit for arguably the biggest challenge in the program!
I passed! Can’t thank the posters on this forum enough.
Congratulations, Seto!
Congratulations on passing! We are gluttons for punishment signing up for the level 2 and then level 3.
For sure it definitely blows the cobwebs from your mind and sanity some times too
Passed. I was afraid that I didn’t pass merely because the pencil I was using is not dark enough.
Thank you AnalystForum for your help in this exam.
Congrats man & now you have a new i-pad! Enjoy the euphoria
I ordered my L2 materials 5 minutes after I passed and I’m gonna register tomorrow. I graduated may 2016 and started working a few months ago so I feel like this is the most free time I’m gonna have in my life before I get busier and get more responsibilities. Yeah it’s gonna suck, but L2 here I come !
Congrats to all those who passed!
To those who failed…, don’t give up.
Cheers.
Congratulations, Edbert!
I took the exam in Poland and among those test takers i met at the exam, many of them are Physicians, Mathematicians, ITs, etc. There was even an Indian dude who walked out from the exam room in the afternoon section saying “Piece of cake”. Though my performance was quite ok during the exam but these people scared the **** out of me. Can’t believe that I sit in the exam with those rocket science students… Nevertheless, I passed the exam but I doubt I actually got a nice result since I remember I had to blindly guess in 15-19 questions in the afternoon part and also I had quite a lot of questions in which I need to use my educated guess to draw an answer.
Congrats on those who passed the exam and for those who didnt, just try next time or consider something else which is easier than CFA, for example CISI.
Passed! Level 2, here we come!
Yay I passed as well. Time to change my status
I passed too Many thanks to the analystforum community and see you soon for the next level
you guys get your breakdown for each topic yet?
It’s due at 9am ET, so in less than an hour.
I presume it’s still fine to post breakdowns here once they get released?
