The seahawks’ uniforms might be the ugliest things I’ve ever seen.

But I do like the jets’ new uniforms.

So…anyone interested in the game on Sunday? The Chiefs will clearly prevail and, I believe, in blowout fashion.

Only thing that I’m not looking forward to is listening to Joe Buck for five hours.

Go Chiefs!

I’d have been a lot more interested in it if the Vikings had beaten the 49ers, but I’ll likely still watch it, if only for the horses in the Budweiser commercials.

And I hope that the 49ers win. These aren’t Len Dawson’s Chiefs.

What’s wrong with Joe Buck? Certainly beats listening to Jim Nantz. (although I am a Romo fan)

edit - Don’t really know what to think about the “Romo to ESPN” jazz. Booger McFarland is pretty good (much, much better than Witten), and Phil Simms is almost unbearable. If Romo leaves to take Booger’s spot, then I might not be able to watch any AFC games at all.

^He openly hates Kansas City. Did a very poor job of hiding it when he called the Royals two World Series appearances. Add Troy to the mix (who openly dislikes Mahomes) and it’s not a great crew for Chiefs fans.

And screw Troy Aikman, btw. The guy is easily one of the worst QBs in the HoF.

Seems like the market thinks Chiefs are the odds on favorite to win it… but I personally think the 9ers will find a way to win the game. Would be happy with either outcome - like these two teams a lot even though they aren’t my hometown team (helps that both of these QBs were on my fantasy team that won a championship this year).

No way. Defense beats offense. 49ers by a TD.

But I’m rooting for KC.

I placed all my bets yesterday. Too many to list but one of them I teased the points to Chiefs -14.5 at +420. Also did one that Mahomes will throw for over 400 yards and at least 3 TDs (+650). So you can probably guess how I think this game is going to go.

Edit: By and large, I believe defenses win Super Bowls, but Mahomes and our offensive is just too potent. The 9ers have a very good D but mainly against the run, which isn’t important against the Chiefs. Against the pass they’re middle of the pack and not nearly fast enough to keep up with Hill, Watkins, and Hardman. Want to play over the top? Okay. Kelce will take over. Take a look at who the Chiefs beat. We destroyed the top defenses in the league (Pats, Ravens, and Chargers were great against the pass). There comes a point where there’s just too much firepower to cover.

That second bet is even odds? I’d say your expected value is negative on both of those bets. The 49ers secondary is no joke. Poor emotional hedging too - if the Chiefs lose then you will most likely lose these bets.

Um…No. As I said, I placed a ton of bets so there are a ton of ways to win. But, yes, they’re all based on the Chiefs winning. Emotional hedges are for puss i es.

And, no, that second bet isn’t even odds. It’s +650. Of course my expected return is negative. It’s gambling…

As for the 9ers secondary…they are a joke. Their front 7 help disguise their aging and slow secondary by applying great pressure on the QB. Well, the Chiefs have one of if not the best pass blocking OL so I’m fine with that matchup, and as I said above, I’m very ok with Sherman’s old ass trying to keep up with Hill.

Edit: And just to really nail this home, look at the games the Chiefs have lost and Mahomes was healthy. He generally has huge games and it’s our defense that sucks. With our D healthy and gelling at the right time, Mahomes hasn’t had to air it out as much, but his stats have the potential to be huge regardless of whether the Chiefs win or lose. Worst case for these player prop bets is an huge Chiefs lead early and Reid goes conservative. But, based on Reid’s comment that he wants to eat the brains of his opponents earlier this week, I don’t think he’s taking his foot off the gas until Mahomes says he’s going to Disneyland.

stl going to cry monday

^I guarantee I cry Sunday night regardless.

You’re saying that if the Chiefs lose, then Sweep will lose, since he’s betting on the Chiefs.

Mind = blown. That’s some E dupristine level thinking right there.

edit - E dupristine is a dirty word now?

I guess I was more focused on his second bet that he listed. There is a world, theoretically, where Mahomes could put up those types of stats yet the Chiefs still lose the game.

I give you Tony Romo, October 26, 2013. 25 for 36, 502 yards, five TD’s and one INT. Lost the game by 3 points. (To be fair, the Cowboys defense was almost nonexistent that game. The Broncos never punted.)

I didn’t know that it was.

Though it should be.

E verywhere.

Theoretically? Mahomes has done it twice. QBs playing from behind tend to put up huge numbers. That’s not the way I’d like to win this particular bet, but just look at the last game the Chiefs lost. An injured Mahomes put up 446 yards and 3 TDs against the Titans. Or if the game is a shootout and we somehow lose, look at the Chiefs v Rams game last year. Mahomes put up 478 yards and 6 TDs. Mahomes can do anything.

You’re both missing my point. If Mahomes does put up those stats it’s unlikely the 49ers win because their offense isn’t good enough to keep up.

What about the most important question: what will you be eating?

So far, I’ve just bought some nice wings and am contemplating what else to cook.

The Egg willl be working overtime that day. Plan to smoke ribs for 4ish hours, then add some bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers.

Then I’ll enjoy some Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale, La Fin du Monde, and Delirium Tremens.
