Can I refer myself as CFA candidate without being registered to the lvl 3 exam ?
No. You can say you have passed the Level 2 exam.
Yes. You are CFA Candidate (#XXXXXX) forever.
No. You are not a candidate until you register for Level 3 exam. I registered for Level 2 and got an email saying: “Congrats: you are now a candidate”. Analti_calte_Equity: the number you get when you enroll in the CFA Program (at the time of Level 1 and which remains forever) is the CFA Institute ID and not the candidate number.
You are a CFA candidate in only two cases. 1. You are registered to sit for an exam. 2. You just took an exam and are awaiting results from the CFA Institute. In your case, if you passed level 2 you can say that you passed that exam.
