Just checking if any L3 candidate here is attending MS Fin Math at NYU, especially part time ?
did you get the admission? I hear it’s very competative program and total batch is of 30-35 students/year.
I took a class there one semester in like '07 and got a B (which I think was average). I applied for either the part time program or the non-degree program, but was denied. There’s only like 30 students full-time, while the part-time is probably double that. However, part-time doesn’t get access to career resources I think (either that or non-degree doesn’t). If you don’t get in, you might want to try to program at Columbia. You could do 1 class online and get a good grade and get the prof to vouch for you for the part-time program.
