Official: 2011 CFA LII Results countdown thread...

OH SNAP GOOD LUCK DUDES I WAS FFFFFFFFREEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG OUT AT THIS TIME LAST YEAR. More seriously, just try and relax. Go to a korean massage parlor (or Korea, try to find you a vietnamese basket), or do whatever you enjoy for the next few days. Good luck and see you guys on the L3 board.

You guys in the US are lucky because you dont have to wait for hours the D-day. I will have to wait until 3PM tuesday : it really sucks…

99 hours left…

Now 99 hours left in Nigeria.

I’m in CST time zone. Glad that I dont have to wait long on tuesday morning to get results.

I have the answer to the waiting problem. We freeze ourselves. If we freeze ourselves, we can get unfrozen on results day and the wait will seem instantaneous.

It’s the FINAL COUNTDOWN!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jK-NcRmVcw&ob=av3e

Eric Cartman’s wii strategy? be careful coz you might wake up much later than planned where CFA might not matter/exist anymore…

Can somebody explain to me what the D-day stands for? Thanks.

June 6th 1944. The allied powers, including my granddad, invaded France and the tide of the Western Front changed for good. It would have been the biggest day of your life for anyone involved in it. So anytime someone talks about a big, arduous, table-turning event the refer to it as “D-Day” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaIZBUeOqas&feature=related

Thanks, ChickenTikka! Good to know.

Not to hijack this post too much, but… The tide of the western front didn’t change. There WAS no western front. This created one. Tide of the war had changed in 1942. The european war was effectively won at that point (by the Russians). Sorry, had to go there.

I’m in NYC and got my result at 9:58AM last yr for level 2

I don’t disagree PistolPt - I majored in Russian BTW. This is why I didn’t say that the war was won because of it. Слава! No western front, hmm, guess that is being a bit technical, but I concede your point. You had Africa and Sicily. There was the whole maritime war as well. Also Dunkirk previously. I’d call the western front Dover/Callais. This was essentially a line like we saw in WWI with regular bombing and stalemates. The soviet unions contribution was huge; but I do think they asked for it with Molotov-Ribbentrop. So before we give Papa Joe too much credit let’s remember that. The Russian Front certainly made it a much easier war for the rest of the allies to first resist and later win. In the end it was the Soviet Union in Berlin with Hitlers dead body so they won the footrace. I was in Moscow for the May 9th in 2005. It was quite an event. Bush, Putin and Blaire were all there. It’s great to see how into the celebration Russians get all these years later, even after the Soviet Union is long gone.
