Congratulations to all who passed Level 1 and got their results yesterday! Good feeling, isn’t it?
Does anybody know if we can get an official certificate by the CFAI that states that we passed Level 1? Just similar to the one received by e-mail, but a bit more formal and perhaps without the results for each topic.
No, they don’t do that. That’s what the charter is for.
This email is the only proof you get. Make sure you save it
I think on request CFA Institute may issue a letter as well stating the candidate pass CFA Level 1 examination. But they will not disclose the marks grid on the letter. So for records they advise to save the results mail. I think this is somewhere mentioned on the CFA website itself under Exam Results.
thjis is directly from CFA website, please read last sentence : “Exam Results Availability -------------------------------------------- Exam results are reported to candidates as “pass” or “fail” within 90 days (60 days for Level I and Level II) of the exam date. You must attend both sessions or your exam will not be graded and you will not receive results. If you do not sit for the morning session, you will not be permitted to sit for the afternoon session. Individual candidate results are only released to the candidate and are never released to a third party; however, lists of passing candidates are provided to societies for membership purposes. Print a copy of your results as a permanent record. Results will be available for approximately one year after the exam date. Subsequently, an official letter can be provided indicating only a pass or fail result; the analysis grid will not be available.”

Who cares that you passed lv1. Like the guy said above, what u gonna do frame it and hang it on a wall. you still got a long road ahead bud

Best chance is to get official letter from CFA institute for passing Level 1.
Couldn’t have said it better…I would say most of his posts are way out of base…Is he looking for attention or something? It seems like he responds to everysingle post.
