Me too with Alt investments lol. Similar thing happened to me with Econ - it was my undergrad major, didn’t read anything and was still top of the class in econ in B school, and nearly failed it.

The one you’re quoting is mine iteracom. There was another who passed who’s was a little rougher than mine. If it’s any consolation i probably only got one or two wrong in each of ethics and FRA. Edit - I think you may have confused my pass matrix with someone elses. 44% would be impossible since I had no section below 50%
Strictly speaking (<=50% -> 0, 50-70 -> 50, 70+ -> 70; <=50% -> 50, 50-70 = 70, 70+ = 100), his score was between 58.7% and 83%, unless I made a mistake in my spreadsheet.
Passed… 50-70 in Ethics, Economics and Alt Inv. Rest all > 70. Strange Economics and Ethics were my strongest topics. But I am not complaining. Passing L1 in first attempt is good enough for me. Cheers!!!
