I bottled it and missed the cut. Such a shame. Unfortunately wasn’t as close as I thought either. Anyway, i’ll forget about it for a few weeks then readdress the situation with more clarity down the line.

I would shout out to all the same bro’s Jaywill did (including the big man Jaywill himself). You guys kept me marginally sane that last month! It was always very comforting to know one of you guys were there with an answer when I was stuck in a rut. I hope you all nail L3 next year.

Failed Band 6…

Less than 50% on AI, Corp Finance and Financial Reporting

>70% on Ethics…51-70% on everything else. Shocked that I failed AI and Corp Finance. Not sure if I am taking it again…taking a class…or find some other method to do different.

I still have a decent paying job so trying not to cry too much :frowning:

Passed! Third time’s a charm!!

For those who failed this year, rock on man, you already know a large chunk of the material and have an actual exam experience. You certainly have a major advantage than those who are going to take the 2nd level exam the first time. I only barely passed in my third attempt, and I’m absolutely certain you can do a lot better than me. Just keep going, you can do it!

For the exam results itself, it’s kinda funny. I failed (<50%) in two topics that i thought i mastered the most (CorpFin and Equity). Heck it’s a basic tenet in L2 studying that you at least have to mastered equity to its core. And i know i am because those two topics maybe are the fairly easiest to master.

But nevertheless, i get >70% in all other topics including the ones that i even only knew the basic concepts of… cough…derivatives…cough…fixed income… lol… so i’m pretty sure my actual score is borderline MPS.

But what the ****, time to get drunk!

Alternative Investments: 51-70%

Corp Finance: > 70%

Derivatives: 51-70%

Economics: > 70%

Equity Investments: 51-70%

Ethics: > 70%

FRA: <=50%

Fixed Income: > 70%

Portfolio Management: > 70%

Quantitative Methods: 51-70%

For the record, I failed last year with band 5. While I am ecstatic and relieved I passed this year I am surprised and the breakdown of my scores. I thought I would have done much better in FRA given that I studied it every other week. And I’m surprised and my Ethics/Econ scores because I was SURE they would bring me down. Anyway, not that I’m questioning the CFA gods or anything! Just happy to pass.
