After nearly 2.5 hrs waiting tonight, I finally got the result at 11:23 ET. It is a PASS (first attempt, from Malaysia and through Hotmail). Thanks everyone for your help and support. Congratulations to everyone who passed. For those who didn’t pass this year, please don’t lose hope and try your best next time. You can do it!!!

I did not pass, band 9, first attempt. I guess Level II again next June for me.

Last Year Band :9

2016 Passed!

Ethics may have been the bump needed

To all who didn’t pass this time around DO NOT GIVE UP. No matter how crappy that may be to hear right now, Stay with it, figure out where improvement is needed and Practice Q’s over and over and then over some more. Trust the work you put in and You’ll get there. Remember, it’s a process. Keep grinding!

I always thought that exam results cannot be shared since it breach the integrity of exam.

Anyway, I’m passed L2 from my first attempt (guess it was very close to the border), and definitely feels good)))

Congrats to those who passed and good luck for those who didn’t.

Wisdom of the day from Linkedin) “A black belt is just a white belt that never quit”

Passed! Scored 70+ in all! Party ONNN!

Passed, second attempt. I feel like I owe Kaplan a steak dinner, will recap in another thread at some point.

I’m not sure if I’m excited, relieved, or a combination of both.

+70 in all except quant (+50)

Got a Pass!

I was nervous because didn’t get the email soon like it was on L1. Apparently Gmail lasted about an hour to send me the email because the CFAI message has 9:04 am date release.

However, it is not all joy, there are 2 topics I went really bad.

Quant >70

Econ >70

CorpF >70

Deriv >70

FRA >70

Fixed >70

Equity 50-70

Portfo 50-70

Ethics 50< … I thought I would get a 50-70, I’m lucky the ethics adjustment didn’t apply on me

Alt Inv 50< … I remember I did bad here, the exam just asked things I didn’t memorize, bad luck.

Congratulations to the passing candidates! Hope to see you all on L3

The fallen friends, please don’t give up, work harder and invest more time, it will pay back surely.

Passed first attempt at Level 2. Failed Equity and >70 on every other section.

Passed!!! After doing Level 1 in December 2015!!   So very excited!!! My heartfelt condolences to all those who didn’t though… :frowning: I can only imagine how demoralizing that must feel, BUT I also have faith in my fellow candidates. Your strength, grit and perseverance is what counts most at the end of the day, wish everyone all the best on AF. Topic area breakdown: Alternative Investments >70% Corporate Finance >70% Derivatives 51-70% Economics >70% Equity Investments 51-70% Ethics >70% FR&A >70% Fixed Income 51-70% Portfolio Management >70% Quantitative Methods >70% Based on the 300hours score approximation: 40/60/80: 72% Min. score: 68.3% Max. score: 86.7%

For those planing on studying for L2 :-

Took L1 in Dec’15, got my results on Jan 26,2016. Started studying for L2 begin Feb’16.

Relied fully on video lectures from IFT and notes from Schweser.

Took 6 mocks (only one of them was timed).

Consistently scored 53-55% in mocks but studied every wrong answer

Practiced all Topic tests on the CFAI official website.

Put in ~225 hrs

My background is BS and MS in EE followed by MBA (General). Nothing has made me sweat bullets as much as studying for L1 and L2.

Good luck to everyone who plan to sit for L2.

L3 --> Here I come!

Passed. Took Level 1 in December. Everything >70% bar corporate finance and quant which were 51-70%. Probably put in just over 300 hours.

.

Well done! I can’t believe you were able to pass given you just got through L1 in December.

Passed! Everything 70+ except ethics & quants (51-70).

First time pass here. Put in around 400 hours which I thought was about right given my matrix.

After 400+ hrs of studying with a beautiful newborn crying all the time and no sleep and working full time. I got to read this “Congratulations! We are very pleased to inform you that you passed the June 2016 Level II CFA exam. 46% of candidates passed the June 2016 Level II CFA exam.”

Passed with 70%+ for all topics except CF & Ethics => 50-70%.

Thank you guys u have been great companions specially Flashback from Croatia.
