I spent all weekend to work though all of the Schweser IPS, PWM etc questions / essays… I get the feeling that this is going to be an F_ing hard test…

I completely know what you mean. Damn these open ended questions. I need to start the process of purging my memory of anything non-CFA related. I will need all the brain space I can spare for this thing.

Just when you get *really* good at picking the correct answer out of a group of 4 possible choices, CFAI has to come and throw a curve ball…

I’m with you, these things make me sweat and suddenly I realise that 15 minutes have passed without having started writing. This is going to be tough.

You guys are right. That is the hardest part of LIII…short yet to the point. Time managment is so very important. Practice, practice and practice.

I second ws. If you find yourself in a situation where you just waisted 15 minutes for nothing, you are in a big trouble, and it will be hard to recover from it… In the morning part of the exam not even a minute can be wasited. Practise a lot with IPS while there is plenty of time left, old CFAI exams are good for that. During the exam you may do individual IPS question last (worked for me); it is usualy given as Q#1, and can throw your game off, if you get stumbled on the return requirement part and lose precious time. Before starting every new question, look at the alloted time and keep track of how much time its taking you to come up with the answer, if you are running 1-2 mins over alloted time, might just stop, especially if you haven’t thought it all through, and jump to the next question, hoping coming back when all esle is finished (unlikely though…) Time management in the AM, is what will make or break you in this exam (assumption that you know your stuff cold is given, otherwise there is not much hope).
