Opinion Needed

Is this good English: “I met with 10+ individual prospects and clients … since earnings were announced. The institutions don’t and I wouldn’t expect them to, make any comments like UT good at making money for urself but not us. The individuals do sometimes, but while it requires the utmost humility from us in response I feel very strongly it binds clients even closer to the firm, because the alternative of take ur money to a finn who is an under performer and not the best, just isn’t reasonable. Clients ultimately believe association with the best is good for them in the long run.”

OMG, WTF??

NO

AWFUL. I hope that guy has good math skills.

Looks pretty impeccable to me. I’d hire that guy immediately!

I think he stands for value.

That’s why you all don’t work at GS !! You need to learn how to write proper English. Apparently this is how they communicate at Goldman. This is one of the emails sent to the CEO Blankfein in regard to the CDO garbage. http://dealbook.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/28/the-goldman-e-mails-or-how-to-sell-junk/?hpw

If you know someone’s style of speaking/talking generally, then you can understand their emails/conversations better. My colleague is not a native english speaker and he keeps inventing new english words/phrases but now we understand him much better than a year ago.

Wacchu tawkin bout gauri?

Thats pretty good Engrish.

^ No, I guess I wrote that line keeping my practical experience in mind. My colleague occasionally addresses a female as ‘his/him’, will add ‘s’ after words or will truncate words half way through. But his coding skills are beyond fabulous…that’s the reason he’s still around.
