Opinions about finance rotational programs

So I’ve recently been very interested in corporate finance and I’ve been looking into fortune 500 rotational finance programs. From reading other finance forums such as WSO, it seems that these leadership development programs are a decent place to start (although probably not as good as IB or other more front-office roles). I just want to know your guys’ opinion about these programs. What make these programs different front usual corporate finance positions? I’ve seen a couple sites that look down on the finance division of a bank, but many seem to respect the rotational programs; why is this so? I, myself, have gotten an offer from an IB for its rotational program and would like to see what you guys’ think about it. How are these programs in terms of experience and getting into a top b-school?
