Organising Study Plan

Hi All,

I plan to register for FRM Level 1 exam for Nov 2012. Recently I bought BT prep materials. I also have Schweser’s study notes. Here I am, trying to figure out how can I best combine both my resources to get the most out of my preparation. I have the following alternatives,

A. Watch BT Videos and use their spreadsheets, practice questions. Combine it with learning from Schweser notes.

B. Use all BT resources and use schweser for practice questions, exams.

Please guide me through this. I feel like plan A would suit me best keeping 4 months of preparation in mind. If anyone has a better suggestion, please reply so I can consider it.

Thanks a lot.

C.

  • Use BT Videos, Practice Questions and combine with Schweser Notes.

  • Later use BT spreadsheet and Schweser Questions only if you have time.

  • Must do BT, Schweser and GARP Mock exams.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will add that to my study plan

Also, do not forget to refer to Core Readings wherever you are not sure of a topic or where you need to start ab initio.

And, totally discard BT notes - waste of time.

Do you mean the GARP core readings? Do you get it when you register for FRM as is the case with CFA?

No, you have to buy them separately.

Correct, you have buy them separately or you can also buy some of the books - good for lifetime reference

I went through the probability chapter in Schweser, but finding it difficult to get the quant stuff into my head (Especially looking at the PQ in BT). I am yet to review the entire Probability and Statistics part in the BT Video series. Can anyone guide me on how to approach the quantitative section for FRM Part 1?
