Shoulda held on to that one bchad… you know… for science
Yep, that’s what I meant about a diploma mill. You pay admission by killing a bunch of people in the name of ISIS, and if you do a good enough job with the right kind of message, they give you a martyrdom promotion and accept you as a fallen jihadi. If not, they say “boy that guy was crazy, but we like that he f-d you guys up anyway.” It’s kinda win-win for them as long as no real hidden cells here get messed up.
The political response to this is as disappointing as it is typical. Dems knee jerk reaction is to peddle gun control laws (which I’m in favor of), but continue to blatantly ignore what was the root cause of this issue; radial Islam and a good chunk of the broader Islamic community’s passive acceptance. There is a very obvious, ongoing pattern here that is global. The left’s response (not just in the US) is to bury their heads in the sand on this issue. It is one of the primary reasons we see Trump’s proposals actually gaining traction; heavy handed, immoral, and unlikely to work, at least he is willing to call a spade a spade. It’s not just Trump though, you’re seeing a lot of right wing parties emerge in the EU where the situation is much worse.
I don’t know what the solution is (Repubs don’t have the answer), but it would be nice if the Dems would just stop being openly ignorant and grow a pair. I mean this was a Muslim who directly attacked the LGBT community (supposed to be a highly protected group on the left) and their response is just so spineless!
What will it take for them to wake up? A nuke from ISIS over LA during gay pride week, while a Women’s rights convention is in town, religious tolerance festival, SEIU gathering to celebrate a federal bump in minimum wage and all on earth day?
It’s unacceptable: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Islamist_terrorist_attacks
We’re about a half century past the right course of action. Ron Paul has been beating this drum for as long as he has been in congress. What we are witnessing is blowback from what he describes as our proclivity toward military adventurism. Since WWII we have felt the need to be the world police and meddle in everyone’s affairs. Even if we decided to adopt a non-interventionist stance tomorrow, this will take generations to undo. Buckle up, it’s going to be a long scary ride.
Is it longer and scarier with the left harping on how evil gun ownership is and the fact that it is basically impossible to get ccw permit in the major cities?
Hey ISIS One, two, Trumps comin’ for you. Three, four, We are ready for war. Five, six, F*ck politics Seven, eight, Youve sealed your fate Nine, ten, America will be great again.
There was that time from 1919 to 1945 when we just minded our own business and nothing bad happened anywhere or to us.
You’re such a turd
I declare victory over Turd.
I think more rule by the Left will be beneficial towards stopping Islamic terrorism. One of the big reasons this has gotten out of control is American alliance and support of Sunni states. The left is the only side that has been critical towards American relations with these countries.
^You are the poster child for not acknowledging and/or understanding the problem. There is no intention of leaving the west alone regardless. Our very way of life is what is offensive to the terrorists.
+1
The best solution is to get out of the Middle East entirely (including not supporting Allies financially anymore) and wait until the current generation there die off. In the meantime there will be casualties but in the long run it’s the best course of action.
The left can’t stop anything. Even fundamentalist Muslims do not see Shariah law as being limited by borders and the goal of Islam is global rule. The moderate Muslims obv don’t take that literally, but extremists do. A govt can never “defeat” an opponent that it doesn’t admit exists and an enemy that doesn’t quit until they are dead.
Nope. They hate us for our freedoms.
you cant spell caliphate without hate
I’m so sick of the right’s narrative about the left not acknowledging the actual issue of terrorism versus gun control. Everyone knows terrorism is a problem, we’ve been fighting this ‘war on terror’ for over a decade now. This is simply a deflection by the right to accept the very obvious gun problem that needs to be fixed in this country.
I agree. The left doesn’t ignore that there is a potential terrorism connection with ISIS or Al Qaida or someone. We just don’t want to jump to conclusions without evidence and immediately decide to invade Iraq again because we’re sure someone must have WMDs there.
It’s not clear yet from evidence that ISIS actually trained this guy or ordered this attack. If there is evidence of a terror cell, then sure, go to anti-terrorism mode. If it’s just a jilted lover that happens to be muslim and embarrassed that he was outed on a gay website, then it’s more of a gun/mental health problem, where he decided to say “yay ISIS” at the end in his personal pain and hope for redemption.
Meanwhile, it’s not as if the left doesn’t think there’s a terrorism problem that needs to be dealt with. Even if there is no real ISIS connection, it’s not as if ISIS should be ignored in regular policy (though admittedly there are isolationists on both traditional left and libertarian sides). We just don’t want a situation where whenever a brown person shoots up a school or something, we immediately start choosing countries to nuke, because clearly they must be ISIS connected.
Agreed. We need to vote for Hillary and give her necessary powers so we can take people’s guns away and free our streets from weapons of war.
Can this become a new thing? Randomly claiming victory over others, I dig it.
It already is a thing. Turd started it a couple few years ago by declaring victory over bchad.
