I am looking to take FRM part 1 in November and looking for advice on best study material.
The first natural choice is the GARP (Kaplan Schweser) book but also considering the WILEY material. Please let me know if any of you have used both for exam Part 1 and your thoughts on the preferred choice.

I’m wondering the same thing. Do you think that just the GARP books is not enough?
The GARP books lack any kind of practice questions which you really need to drill concepts etc.
I would highly recommend buying Bionic Turtle for the practice questions
Ok so go for Bionic Turtle but is just Bionic Turtle enough for the level1?
For OP, you seem to lump GARP and Schweser as the same books, but they’re separate/distinct products.
I thought Schweser was perfect for Nov 2015 Part 1 exam, especially Schweser’s practice exam. I also did use BT a bit and got kind of annoyed by its formatting and difficulty, but it probably did enhance my understanding and review of topics and naturally biased my score upward as a result. There are mixed opinions about Schweser appropriateness, but the one tried and true is BT. Schweser + BT wouldn’t hurt you either if you have the time. Idk about Wiley.
