I was thinking to do:
FRM level 1 - May 2013
FRM level 2 - November 2013
CFA level 2 - June 2014
Do employers have any respect for FRM at all?

It depends on the employer. If you look at the GARP statistics all major global banks and insurance companies have at leat five certified FRMs and members. Risk management is a topical area and will only grow in prominence in this environment especially in the institutional side.
The CFA charter is still more recognizable. So, if you are looking for a job at an asset manager, it will probably be a better bet.
It all depends on why you are pursuing these designations and what type of jobs you are targeting.
Good luck!
