Passing Grade

do we have to score above 70% in all exam sections to pass or we can score less than 70% in one or two sections and still pass. Please explain Thank you

I don’t think you have to score above 70% in all sections, have seen some folks with less than 70% score in a coulpe of sections and they still passed.

While CFAI is pretty opaque as to what constitutes a passing score, there’s no requirement that you get > 70% on any particular section (or combination of sections). For example, some were claiming that you need to get above 70% on ethics. So, you can nail some sections and bomb others - as long as your OVERALL score corsses whatever hurdle they choose to set this year.

I recall the min passing score using the 40/60/80 rule is somewhere between 60% to 65%.
