Is there someone who passed the exam with only random topics of the CFA books covered? (no practice exams no sample questions… ) Is there someone who was lucky enough to pass the exam without really hard study/repeatitin, but only by reading most interesting topics randomly? Wondering if i even have a chance to pass the exam! I both have a degree in accounting and finance currently working as a Financial Analyst. Thank you in advance good luck
Fail.
Studying randomly is probably the dumbest way possible to study- you may as well not even try. If you don’t have much time to study, I would go through each LOS individually, and work on your weak areas. Even then, unless you have a strong grasp of the major topics from prior classes, etc., and study very smart, the pass rate would be abysmal. The CFA level 1 is not difficult, but the amount of stuff to go over is brutal.
It is doable in a month if you really have a strong fundamental in the core topics. I know I couldn’t do it in a month, but with that said, if your already registered, just go for it. Cram as much as you can and do it.
Is this a serious question? If you are extremely lucky, you may get away with minimum study time on level 1. If you are time pressed, focus on major, must-know areas. Skip any SS completely and your chance of passing is abysmal, in my opinion. But keep in mind the name of the game is not passing 1 exam, but rather all 3. level 2 is much much more challenging than the level 1 exam. It does take some serious committment to get through the whole thing

stratosfear, you can easily study for this the night before. I would wait until then
LOL, in seriousness, there’s no harm in checking out the exam. If you fail you fail, but at least you will know exactly what to expect next time.
Of course I am showing up! I’m full of positive energy and strongly believing I’ll pass. You all guys encouraged me to start studying hard. Stay positive guys! There is still one month to go.
Level 2 is terrible…

Haha, you all are funny. Good luck with passing on limited studying. I have been studying my butt off and am on the border
Luckily the exam is multiple choice. There’s still some hope!

I want my social life back! (apparently not for the next 2 years… at the minimum)
