Pen

Why, Pica, what did I do wrong?!

I found liquid graphite at Duane Reade drugstore. I’m sure a walk down the aisle at Staples should work too.

Uniball Signo - is very comfortable with a gel grip and writes very smooth at Staples here in Canada is a good one.

Anyone know where you can get those pens they use in space. You know, the ones that the astronauts use. It writes upside down. Its perfect if your writing material in your bed and you have to lean over to make the pen work…

Anyone volunteering to send a few of those “liquid graphite” pens to the old continent (Germany)? I cannot find them here, they are not on Amazon in Europe and amazon.com does not want to ship to Europe… That would be very very nice - all costs will be reimbursed, of course. what about ball pen and blanco?

Recently I had to call the Institute regarding an other question. But because I was curious on what they state regarding the pen/pencil issue, I asked the person on the phone. He was very clear in stating only using a pen (black or blue ink) is allowed. Which leaves me with an unpleasant feeling in using a pencil (which I would prefer).

I purchased the Pilot “frixion” erasable pen someone posted earlier. I must say this pen rocks. I had given the paper mate erasble pen a shot but it smeared far worse than pencil would ever do and took it out of contention. However, this pen does not smear much at all.

The only issue with the Pilot FriXion is that the ink becomes transparent above something like 70 C or 160 F. That’s the way it works to “erase”: using the eraser creates enough heat for the ink to become invisible. As someone said, if they leave to our papers in a van for some time… So, personaly, I’m not sure what to do. I think I’m going to use as it is very convenient but, there is a risk. MH

160F - I dont think you have anything to worry about. They aren’t going to throw the exams in an oven.

70 C?? haha…it would be gone the minute it got out of the examination hall in abu dhabi!! No way am i risking that… it’s already so freaking hot out here…and it’s not even june yet…jeez…

a) My experience with Pilot FriXion: Very good except that it dried in the middle of my 3rd AM test. => I will come with two fresh ones. b) For information here is what Pilot is saying about it - you are warned: <>

^^seriously wtf. On top of all this sh*t now I have to find another goddamn pen? How can you use an erasable pen on an exam that needed 2.5 yrs of preparation, when it says on the f***ing label “hey dude, do not use this pen on an exam. seriously, do NOT.” Honestly, by June 5th I am going to be a f***ing powder keg. If my AM paper came back all < 50’s cause some proctor locked the AM’s in a safe by the window, you would all read about this guy who flew to Jacksonville, walked into Pilot North American headquarters, and had to be tasered then carried off by local law enforcement after he sprinted passed the receptionist, dove headlong into cubicles and began raining blows down on random employees. everyone else in the world would be like damn, lock this freak up. But every last AF member would be like, wow, those Pilot people got off easy…

They could taze me right now. Really. I would welcome it. I am now required to read the f***ing fine print on the package my f***ing pen came in. Seriously. Have to go and ruin my morning w/ crap like that. I want my life back.
