Pet insurance. I should have taken it too. I’ve spent about a grand in vet bills this year. I’m with Ozzie. I have a corp credit card but it’s not as fun as it sounds. Though it’ll come in handy next week in Chicago.
You all should stop complaining! We don’t have coffee at all at our office! Although we do still have a pension, so I guess there’s that. And I don’t really understand those of you saying that a corporate card is a perk - I still need to fill out all the same expense reports, and all expenses are still gone over with a fine-tooth comb, I just don’t get any bonus miles, UPromise payments, etc. that I would get from using my own card.

corp card= good bc if you spend a lot on travel you credit is not as affected (ie my hubby travels and has 3k hotel bills that create a very high ratio of use) =bad because I’d rather use my own card an collect miles/ points/ etc. perks I’ve had… Last top bracket AM had a theory that employees should have 0 health expenses so entire family was covered free + you got 1k funded into your FSA account for copays, deductible, etc. Young people would buy ‘prescription sunglasses’ at end of year to use it up. Also had subsidized cafeteria with really good food at

Unless you the Buffman. Only the first $4,650 of owed wages gets priority, then the remainder of wages owed gets thrown in with the rest of the unsecured creditors…sadly I know first hand.

Once again, the series exam teaching nothing and creating more confusion situations.
So for those that have credit cards - when you go on a business trip or client meeting, does the company reimburse you for the meals? You might think this is a given but it’s not. (I remember being told that I had to foot the bill for some client meeting meals.)
I can’t imagine that client meals wouldn’t be reimbursed. Almost any meeting with a client - even going to a ball game where you don’t discuss business - could fall under “strengthening the relationship” with the client. I wasn’t in the industry then, but I’m told that lots of stuff that was totally not-professional used to fall under this domain in the 80s and 90s. Get wasted at a nice bar? ------> STRENGTHENED CLIENT RELATIONSHIP Beach for the day and rent jet-skis? ------> STRENGTHENED CLIENT RELATIONSHIP Go to a strip club and get some glitter on your suits? ------> STRENGTHENED CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Anything above this will need to be justified

^Yeah, that’s what I thought too. No joke - the meal was like $10 for the client and me, and I asked if I can get this paid - they straight up said no, it’s not common practice for the company to pay for clients. This one firm was so meticulous with this that whenever we go to a company lunch, we have to write down everyone’s name that went (as if I’m going to bring my whole crew over for lunch and let the company pay for it…). I am totally jealous of the health perk because when I saw how much people that had a spouse and children had to pay it was like $800 for HMO and $1,000 for PPO. I mean, I can pay rent for a (crappy) home for that amount! Forget about the coffee debate. I just wanted clean water.

You can buy yourself dinner and a couple drinks, but we’d have trouble explaining a $150 bar tab later that night if there weren’t any clients around.
Free beer in the office fridge. It’s frowned upon if you dig into it before 4 pm though.
i got a corporate card, buts its not like i can use it for my owne stuff (only for entertaining clients, travel, car service for late nights, etc) best perk i get is the occasional company seats about 3 rows behind the mets dugout at citifield
the names on receipt thing is related to the IRS- not a necessarily a company being an@l thing. We used to have that too- as would just note on the non-itemized CC reciept instead of the one that showed vdk-redbull x 15 … etc.
If your corporate card is AMEX, it only costs $75/year to link it to your personal card’s Membership Rewards account.
Airline VIP/Sky club membership (only for one airline). Incredible perk for those of us that love endless free booze, cashews and newspapers
