Anyone have cool or unusual perks at your job? I’ve heard of companies having concierge services in which they can have someone walk their dog, cook for them, etc. etc. for a nominal fee. Obviously if you work for Google… enough said. Has anyone achieved baller status and have their own credit card issued by their company?
Have a card issued by the company but I still have to pay for it if it’s not work-related expense, so much of a perk.
We get to play darts whenever we want.
poker tables in the office
breakfast and lunch, gym
coffee and hot chocolate all day. These days get to watch soccer on a big TV. I have credit card but that is only for business travel.
Corporate store, only when you reach a certain level though. Get nice discounts on Brooks Bros, CT Shirts and all sort of other things, Sony, Target, Home Depot. …
I’ve been to a broadway show or two for free as part of client events. Saw Boston Pops play as part of a event we donated to. Was supposed to meet Michael Phelps (I won a company raffle) and then forgot to go because I was too busy. True story! My best friend works for Google NYC and I’ve had a few chances to check out their offices in chelsea. It’s insanely nice and packed to the rafters with little perks (free food at all times, famous chefs guest cooking in the cafeteria, game rooms all over the place, etc.)
Company credit card is not a perk, IMO. If you didn’t get one, that would basically mean you’d be extending credit to your employer and in the event of a bankruptcy, you might become a creditor. (though from my recollection, courts have seen employees to be senior to even the most secured lenders)

Unless you the Buffman.
i get a paycheck every two weeks
We pay our hotel bills and then get them reimbursed. A-nnoy-ing. Especially as you have to gather all the receipts fill out the form etc etc. On the other hand, I have some budget in my role. I’ve just booked myself on a 2 day VBA course in another country. I’ll still have to pay for the overnight stay though. Just a PITA.

How about this: I found out that my $25 gift card works forever in company cafe, it never runs out of balance. So I basically get breakfast and lunch for free.

Anyways, I get free drinking water, heart burning coffee and free toilet roll at my present employer - reason number 21 for switching jobs.
^ LOL! There was this one company that did not want to invest in buying water so they just had tap water… and instant coffee. So cheap in EVERYTHING, especially wages. Even in the employee manual, it said something like they were trying to keep costs low so that they can pay out the employees more, but this was a complete fabrication. Believe it or not, I think there’s a high correlation between what the company pays for perks and how “generous” it is with pay. Now, I know that if a company isn’t willing to buy water and is really cheap / stingy with small stuff like supplies, then bolt out the door.
