I am struggling in Intercorporate investment using irfanullah videos 
Oh sorry CFAfatso, u can read the notes when being explained. I just pause d video, read it then hit play again to let Olinto/Shajani talks again so far i dont need the notes yet
It is fairly easy to follow the videos with CFA text and make notes in the margins provided, at least that is what I have been doing. Found it useful to extract information from the video and write it in the texts so everything is in one spot- so I do not have to watch the videos over and over. FOund this especially useful for FRA and Equity.

+1. I follow the videos with the study notes and am taking notes in the margins as I go. I know I’ll need to spend a lot of time to review so want to have all my notes in one place.
Videos do make different i guess. I watched two videos inv and long lived assets and read intercorporate. Could do CFAI eoc with no problem for inv and lt assets. But struggled in intercorporate. May redo intercorporate by watchin d video today.
No joke, if I knew Olinto was doing Elan videos, I would’ve went with Elan as my study prep provider.
Quick question for people who have already used the videos. Are all the videos on each reading quite long as it seems most are around 2 hours
2.5 - 3 hours seems to be the norm, some are much shorter, and a few much longer, but those are the exceptions, the Econ Reading for FX rates etc is 6hours long, as an example
6 hours!!! For the reading or the entire study session? That’s crazy. Is it Olinto or the other guy? I don’t mind the “other guy” but he can be a bit slow. I sometime really wish he’d speed through the calcs a bit. He writes out every single number instead of just showing the results. If you don’t understand, it’s good I guess, but if you got the concept, it’s painful to sit through him writing 10 sets of X, Y scatter plot regression analysis calcs.
Pension fund was 4 hours with the other guy (basit). but it was quite good as he explained EVERY DETAILS that i remember everything now 
Ninini, can i get only the video relating to pensions. Is it possible?
Given this level of detail in the videos, are you all finding it relatively “easy” to answer the CFAI EOCs? Currently reading Schweser Notes and def don’t think it’s anywhere near the level of compreshion EOC’s require!
What’s the general strategy? Watching videos + Elan/Schweser notes? Has anyone tried just Videos + EOCs (I know this was another thread, but didn’t get an exact answer…)
@nicksighania i am not sure, i heard so. you should try browse their website. Cos i bought the whole package and so now i can’t see individual prices. Maybe you should e-mail them if you can’t find individual video price on the website. @CFAfatso: so far i’ve done inventory & LT assets eoc after only videos, have no problems with CFAI EOC (Elan notes have no EOC). I plan to do EOC for multinational, intercorporate, pension in weekends (finished the videos the past 3 days). will let you know. My strategy now is watching the video with my Elan notes open. I do sometimes freeze the video before the guys start speaking to see what the notes says about the section the guy’s is about to talk about. It takes me much longer than just breeze through the video. And the notes is now full of pencilled coments from the video. I believe you can do this with your schweser book open. So you just add comments there that will help you in your revision. My second pass will be reading the notes and hitting practice questions (as Elan hasn’t finished PQ. they better be ready by end march otherwise i will flip)
sorry. i only needed my Elan notes when watching the videos when i was watching pension. The other i watched only the video
Ok did curriculum eoc for pension, multinational, lesson we learn and evaluating fin quality. I found i can answer the eoc pretty comfortably. Except for stock option part (only finished pension video half and havnt got to stock option part though i have read it).
Looks like you can pick and choose videos to purchase. Obviously it would be cheaper to purchase as a set but the video on pensions looks like it costs $20.
Just to clarify: You were able to anwer the EOCs for these readings easily by just watching the Elan video? You didn’t read the curriculum or the study notes?
I watched only videos for several chapters, only read the notes in one chapter, and both in two chapters.
for inventory, i earlier read the notes before the videos, for pension i have my notes open when watching the video.
but for LT assets, multinational, lesson we learn, FR quality, i only watch the video. Pausing here and there. and rewind if i’m not sure or didn’t quite get it. i only read my notes in intercorporate (not video). The result: no problem in CFAI EOC for inventory, lt assets, multinational, lesson we learn, evaluating FR quality, pension. Have A LOT of problem in intercorporate. I guess watching video and see the notes (in monitor or on your hand) means you employ your sights and hearing, rather than only reading (sights only). so maybe that’s why it sticks better in the brain. Well… at least for me.
