Hi all – I live in Chicago but have to take the exam this year in Philadelphia due to a wedding (!) I’m attending that weekend in Atlantic City (total nightmare…) Anyway, my question is this: where is the CFA exam administered in Philadelphia? I am signed up for Philadelphia, but I can’t seem to find where the exam is actually administered! Is it the Philadelphia Convention Center? As a second question, can anyone recommend a hotel that is as close as possible to the exam? Thanks! Peter

Yeah, I’m not sure about this year, I don’t know if they’ve released the location information yet. You could try calling CFAi about it. If it is at the same location as the other years it would bet he PA Convention Center. It’s a pretty nice venue, they have areas there to leave belongings so you can bring study materials etc in a bag. I always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. It’s accross the street from the venue. Apparently there’s another hotel that’s connected called the Courtyard Marriott Downtown if you want to try that. Thanks - appreciate it. Just made my hotel reservation for a hotel next to the PA Convention Center. Any good lunch spots in the area? Something not too greasy - just a decent sandwich or something like that. And preferably not too crowded - I’ll walk 5-10 mins to get away from the crowd. McCormack Place in Chicago is awful - completely isolated from the rest of the city, and there’s a pizza place and a McDonalds, both with ginormous lines, and that’s it.
There is a market place across the street. Lots of choices.
