Plain vannila swap inquiry

Can a different notional amount be involved between the 2 parties…? All examples I saw was the same … thoughts???

No - notional is the same for both parties.

As far as I know, the only time the notional amounts can be different are with a currency swap.

No, it’s a plain swap. You’re only betting against interest rates.

hi, the notional of a swap is the reference for the two parties, so it wouldn’t make sense to have different notional amounts. If party A pays Libor + 20bp and Party B pays 6%, you could also say party B pays 3% on the doubled notional, but apparently that makes no sense. cheers
