Company of Heroes 2.
The level of detail in squad level combat is unparalleled in an RTS IMO.
I have to play Company of Heros again. I remember that game being epic. I only take issue with the fact that it’s unparralleled in RTS. I mean… Starcraft 2. Bruh.
The last game I played for any length of time was Red Dead Redemption. IWe have all 3 of the last gen systems in the house, and i’ll play some wii with the kids, but now that the kids can play with each other, I really don’t play any video games at all. I’m getting them a PS4 or X1 for Christmas, but even then, I’m not sure what I’d play. I love action/adventure style games more so than FPS. I assume it’s the result of playing all sorts of Police Quest and King’s Quest games on the PC as a child. I liked the first 2 or 3 Assassin’s Creed games, but anything after that I sort of didn’t have the time for. I’m hoping to find something on the next gen that I’m willing to carve out 30 or 40 hours for.

I never really got that deep into RPG, but I’m watching the development of a new game that will run with oculus rift: Kingdom Come. It looks like it’s going to be epic. RPGs are so immersive when they’re done well so I can’t imagine playing in VR.
!! Damn. I put “competitive Gaming” on my Interests section of my resume. I watch big tournaments and when I was younger I was on a CAL-i team. Has anyone ever asked you about it?
Anyone remember the Halo 2 days of the KSI clan or the ogre brothers? I only played against the ogres a couple times and they were definitely legit. KSI was a joke though.
I never played much console games have always been on the PC. For some reason every console game just seems to lack depth to me. Only thing they do well is sports. No offense to the console people.

I would call you guys a bunch of losers, but then I looked over and saw that I have over 9000 analyst forum points.
I switched over to console (PS3) a few years ago. I was sick of trying to upgrade my desktop every year to keep up with the newest FPS.
Standard console performance + solid internet = fair playing field. You get used to the controller pretty quickly. I miss the complexity of the keyboard but I dont’ play enough to pay for a desktop anymore.
GTA is a lot of fun for sandbox and blowing off steam as well.
