I played in a corporate golf outing yesterday and during the awards ceremony the guy giving out the awards was pretty funny and was giving some of the winners a barb or two. At one point, he referred to one of the guys as a “wop” and no one in the crowd missed a beat. I found the lack of outrage quite refreshing.

Yeah, fortunately this “politically correct” weirdness never happened in many countries. People joke about gays, blacks, women, everything over here. Totally freaks out visitors from the West!
