Do we still need to learn this method? It says that it is not used for both IFRS and US GAAP, but in the CFAI EOC there’s a lot of questions on this.
It’s still grandfathered in, so some companies still use it, and the curriculum describes it.
I’d know the basics of it, but wouldn’t worry about it too much. There are lots of more important things on which they can test you.
