Portfolio Composite Inclusion Question (GIPS)

I’m reading GIPS and it says firm may set a minimum asset value for portfolio for it to be included in a composite. It also says that all fee paying discretionary funds must be included in a composite.

So with that said, if a fund doesn’t meet the minimum asset value requirement, does it need to be put into another composite?

Thanks!

I think yes they need to create another composite that will include funds that do not meet the minimum asset value requirements because another requirement is all fee paying, discretionary portfolios must be assigned to at least one composite. so leaving out that do not meet the minimum asset value will be against the requirement.

All discretionary fee paying portfolios must be in at least one composite. Isn’t it GIPS requirement? If it is, then answer would be yes, of course.

I had the same question, thanks for the replies
