The email that I got in response to a question about the timeline for the award of the charter simply said that the process was on hold for the month of August. The person said that the website will be updated first, then emails will be sent. Emails will follow within 5 business days after. I don’t think people should expect emails today. Hopefully the website will be updated today?
The email was received about two weeks ago, so others may have more current info.

This is what I was told, you just have to keep checking the CFA website to see if you have CFA next to your name. Then you are official and you will get the email later. So the countdown should be for the first person to see “CFA” next to their name. 
No, I’m sure he’ll take a thirty minute deuce afterwards.

What do you mean could you imagine if this happened on August 6th? I didn’t get my email until late afternoon, and I was pulling my hair out!
for those people checking the website. Don’t just log in and look next to your name.
Make sure you use the CFAI membership search, and search for your name there as well.
Last year, there was a glitch for a day or so, where the CFA letters didn’t appear next to your name, but you had CFA behind your name in the people search function.
Good tip, given CFA Institute’s IT skills, or lack there of in their website I am thinking this may be the key again but hopefully they fixed it.
Just spoke to the institute. The system will update today or tomorrow morning…
I wonder what they use our yearly contributions for… Apparently not for the IT system modernisation.

Imagine if a school said: ‘Oh yeah, your grad from a 3 year (5 years for me) program may or may not happen sometime today or tomorrow. Just hang in there champ. We’ll see when it happens.’

Did you see your name, or did you see your name, CFA? Everyone sees there name.
Seeing your name in the directory and seeing your name in the directory with the letters CFA after it are two VERY different things.
Do you have the CFA designation next to your name? Otherwise we’re all on the members’ list if we’re regular members of CFA Institute, but that doesn’t mean we were awarded the charter.
