LET’S GET HAMMERED! (after work like responsible adults).

As a follow-up - Passed - Everything was above 50%. Below 70% in Alts & Derivs, Ethics, and PM, but they were all very close to 70. 90th% in Econ and Fixed Income.

I did 60% of the Schweser Qbank, all EOCs in CFAI. all Schweser notes questions. I got upper 70s on two mocks, mid 70s on 2, lower 70s on 2 and one 67.

New scoring system sucks. Great job making things even more convoluted, CFAI.

This year was my second attempt. Last year I was at band 9. And this yeat I did not pass again.

I am not sad but I am fueled with anger and annoyance after looking at my scores. This completely unacceptable. I am not going to give this exam again anymore. Even after having the below scores if I have failed, then what more of motivation is left to prepare again next year.

Alternate & Derivatives - 70+

PM - 70+ (on 90% line)

CF - 70+

Fixed Income - 70+

FRA - 70+

Quant - 70+

Equity - between 50 to 70

Ethics - between 50 to 70

Economics - less than 50 and even less than 10%

I don’t have any motivation to give this exam anymore.

Passed! Very thankful for such a tight-knit community, everyone here is an inspiration.

You guys are lucky. The old score reports took a ton of effort to try to estimate percentiles fot passing scores. I think I was over 90th for Levels 1 and 2. Not sure for Level 3, maybe 80-90%.

Passed on first attempt with 700 hrs of study, 5,000 practice questions completed and 6.5 full mock exams. I never scored over 70% on any of the mock exams. I used Kaplan in addition to the curriculum.

I thank Jesus for the help on this one, it was tough.

I did Level 1 in Dec because my wife’s due date was too close to the June exam date. Neighbor had twins early, 1week before Level 2 exam. Hell of a story, but he passed.

please tell me you got 90th percentile

Lots of passes in the early going. Perhaps people who think they will pass are more proactive in checking.

I failed. This is tough. I was band 7 last year. Looks like band 10 this year. The results:

Over 70 - FRA and FI

Less than 50 PM

Between 50-70 the rest.

I am 33. I don’t currently work in the investment field. I would like to work in corporate strategy/finance functions. I currently work in revenue management in CPG. Should I just quit this program?

I don’t about you guys but I’ll be drunk as a skunk tonight!

MPS was high this year, 66% minimum.

I failed with 65% exactly (calculated using the topic analysis) and my overall score line was basically touching the MPS line on the first diagram.

More local societies should have mixers on score release days

PASSED! I HAD A FEELING!

Do not quit. Take time off now, re-calibrate. Work out why you are failing, correct those errors and demolish it next year. Use this failure to drive you to success. If you quit now you have nothing to show for it.

Passed! Used Adapt prep videos, EOC questions and 6 Schweser mocks, plus a John Harris accounting class for FRA (which was fantastic).

Do not quit. Re-calibrate, workout what is going wrong and systematically correct it. Take it next year and demolish it. This is all part of the analyst work you’re being trained to do. Workout why things are going wrong and fix them. You can do it mate, don’t listen to naysayers.

POUR ONE OUT for me boyo!!!

My best friend owns restaurants for a living, and he had to fire like 6 people last night. He asked if I would help him tonight and I couldn’t say no. Looks like I’ll be making sandwiches tonight! Probably the only guy in history to pass level 2 and actually go work in a restaurant.

How the heck do those scores translate into a fail? Econ’s weight is very low. There’s no way it dragged you down that much even if you scored 0% in Econ.
