Though not surprising, a 73% success rate is pretty outstanding! Also agree with your conclusions above! … Thank you for taking the time and putting this together. It by no means is easy going over all the posts and compiling the answers. Appreciate your efforts Bankin’!

Nice work AF. At this point, what is your sample size and # of pass? Just curious. I mean, I need to collect some money from mwvt9.

For example, if your reported score band is 1, you scored in approximately the bottom 10% of failed candidates. If your reported score band is 2, your score was within the next band width ranging from approximately the bottom 11% to 20% of failed candidates. If your score band is reported as 10, you scored in the top 10% of all failed candidates. Performance band of your overall score among all candidates who failed the exam: 8

ss 102 pass 74

FAILED. I failed all of the morning individual/institutional sections in the morning. I also failed ethics! My mistake was concentrating on all the smaller less important sections. I am a bit surprised at how poorly I did in SS 4 and 5. To those who passed, congrats. I’ll be on this board yet again.

Hello, Level III Candidates! With the exam less than three weeks away many of you are probably nervous. I wanted to bring a little reassurance with some ridiculously unscientific evidence that your presence reading and contributing to topics on AF will provide you with a considerable advantage over your peers. Last year I attempted to come up with an approximate AF pass rate. Prior to the exam, I got commitments from candidates to post their results regardless of the outcome, so the percentage wouldn’t be skewed with lurkers that come on to report a Pass, but wouldn’t have reported a Fail. Last year’s pass breakdown indicates that AF users, many of which were not even regulars, outperformed the population of Level III Candidates by a considerable margin. Good luck with your studies and I hope you all get a Pass! Enjoy! ********************************************************************* AF Pass Rate 67.3% 76 Pass / 113 Sample = 0.672566 ********************************************************************* General Pass Rate 49.0% Difference 18.3% Rules: 1. Commit to post results beforehand 2. Registration date at least 1 week before the exam date ********************************************************************* Out of the 113 people that committed to post their results, 7 (about 6%) failed to follow through with their commitment. They are as follows: 40 Shaft 60 fxl 90 misslee 105 riskyrider 117 kg34 121 qwerty76 124 Hurricane Of the people that posted, 76 posted a Pass and 30 posted a Fail. I included all of my non-posters with the Fails. Thank you to everyone that followed through with their commitment to post. I would like to extend a special thank you to all of those that posted a fail, that takes a lot of guts and my hat is off to you. Hopefully next year’s AF Pass Rate will be even higher. ********************************************************************* Full results are as follows: Pass 1 Bankin’ - Pass 2 doworkson - Pass 4 mwvt9 - Pass 5 cfasf1 - Pass 7 maratikus - Pass 10 cfa_b’more - Pass 13 itstoohot - Pass 15 Mandelbrot - Pass 16 KRochelli - Pass 17 MattLikesAnalysis - Pass 19 LICandidate - Pass 22 ilvino - Pass 23 McLeod81 - Pass 24 ozzy609 - Pass 25 gauravku - Pass 27 stromey - Pass 29 higgmond - Pass 31 FastEd - Pass 32 Bacaladitos - Pass 33 jbaldyga - Pass 35 Jscott24 - Pass 36 budfox427 - Pass 38 Garch - Pass 39 wanderingcfa - Pass 41 Sunkist - Pass 42 mark@dirtbags - Pass 43 sbugrad89 - Pass 44 patkeenan - Pass 45 dongjohnson - Pass 46 L3BeatIt - Pass 47 freaked - Pass 49 mpnoonan - Pass 50 PhillyBanker - Pass 51 ValueAddict - Pass 53 landrybj - Pass 54 akanska - Pass 55 Dsylexic - Pass 56 Blkmoon - Pass 57 vanz1212 - Pass 61 springwater - Pass 62 fitrangnn - Pass 63 Scouser_in_HongKong - Pass 64 mcpass - Pass 65 bhaiyyu - Pass 66 R24X7 - Pass 69 DNAdiver - Pass 70 sterling76 - Pass 71 tamiaira - Pass 74 flat top - Pass 75 Niblita75 - Pass 76 merv - Pass 77 jasonms - Pass 78 anc417 - Pass 79 Corrupted - Pass 80 abacus - Pass 82 Robb - Pass 83 amazer - Pass 84 ebiegs327 - Pass 86 ruckmani - Pass 88 slave - Pass 92 Bond Supply - Pass 95 wvhome - Pass 97 zach1gobucks - Pass 100 Smarshy - Pass 102 spinner32 - Pass 103 slouiscar - Pass 104 colina_arenosa - Pass 106 GoVols - Pass 108 Magix - Pass 109 kblade - Pass 113 crinklebriggs - Pass 114 Vollkorntoast1985 - Pass 115 eschizzle - Pass 118 InfiniteMav - Pass 122 cfafrank - Pass 123 rajiv75 - Pass Fail 3 Blamey - Fail 8 N.VanCandidate - Fail 9 drs - Fail 11 yodhava - Fail 12 tibwa - Fail 14 shark777 - Fail 18 Big Babbu - Fail 21 omoobagberume - Fail 34 dennis2085 - Fail 37 Vegas - Fail 48 Rakesh - Fail 58 netjade - Fail 59 pmoonoi - Fail 67 JarJarBinks - Fail 68 Sims - Fail 72 sct123 - Fail 73 omkar - Fail 81 vici09 - Fail 85 ilkandi - Fail 91 ddeckel - Fail 94 anuj_oct - Fail 98 JonnyRev - Fail 99 Mukaranga - Fail 101 mxz583 - Fail 107 Gooman - Fail 110 Kjarro - Fail 111 kevin2222 - Fail 112 rc - Fail 116 cuellarar - Fail 119 lenchik101 - Fail 40 Shaft - Fail 60 fxl - Fail 90 misslee - Fail 105 riskyrider - Fail 117 kg34 - Fail 121 qwerty76 - Fail 124 Hurricane - Fail Commited, but did not post: 40 Shaft 60 fxl 90 misslee 105 riskyrider 117 kg34 121 qwerty76 124 Hurricane Posted in thread, but did not commit: 6 jeks - 26 Dwight - 28 sparty419 - 120 bernie_m - Rejected: 20 nbnog * 6/8/09 Join Date 30 chiffy * 6/25/09 Join Date 52 NJLVLIII * 6/7/09 Join Date 87 vtanh * 8/4/09 Join Date 89 Plug and Chug * 6/8/09 Join Date 93 ravikiranm * 6/27/09 Join Date 96 cfafa * 8/4/09 Join Date

I agree that regular posters have higher % of pass rate. Hopefully this will touch to 100% this year.

any volunteers to start this up again? I’ll commit.
