Well, after a 73% on the 2009 AM, I just got rocked by the 2009 pm mock - 63% 2 derivative items sets in a row went 2/6. Well, at least I can target my review over these last few days. But, I once felt good about derivatives.
2009 mock was a b*tch…granted I hadnt reviewed derivatives, GIPS, or attribution when I took it, but it was the worse score I got on a practice test as a CFA candidate… As you said, gives you a place to focus your effort for the next couple days

In the middle of the 09 mock right now and if the last 3 item sets are arithmetic problems I’d still say it’s a lot harder than than 2010 mock. Probably a subtle attempt by CFAI to keep the pass rate quasi-low by lulling us into a false confidence, because I’d be willing to bet at least 70-80% of regular AFers are going to pass. (myself not included…I hope to pass, but if I had to deal with you all setting the curve I’d be happy with 10th percentile!)

I am in your boat Chi Paul, just a little behind you… Just got a 71 on th 2009 AM, but 62 on the 2009 mock a little while back. And my 71 on the AM included a weak 2 points, because i knew what implied assets was from this forum.
1AM - 72% 1PM - 74% 2AM - 78% 2PM - 78% 3AM - 78% 3PM - 76%
I just finished the 2009 mock, too. Ouch. I got a 68%, but only got a couple questions correct because of lucky guesses. This definitely felt like a CFAI exam. There were a couple times that I had to just stare at the questions and exhibits trying to figure out what the f they were asking (performance attribution in particular). I don’t know what my deal is, but I have just SUCKED at Ethics the last few days. I was really hoping that I wouldn’t need to spend any time there this week, but I guess I should. I need a drink.
Sample 1 --> 63% 2007 AM --> 55% 2008 AM --> 68% Sample 2 --> 53% Its not looking good folks… I’m really frustrated because i know SOOOO much sh!t that isn’t being asked. This sucks.
2009 CFA PM Mock - 80% 2010 CFA PM Mock - 82% Happy with the '09 score… but I would have liked to perform better on 2010. I got owned by Ethics on the 2010 mock.
what the hell, I just got 93% for MOCK 2010. and guess what all lost points are with the questions seeming to be similar with 2009 sample. fxxk, dont know should be happy or worried, but the CFAI trick is so much different from Schweser trick just found a few other chaps are able to do 90%+. it is easier than 09 MOCK which I got 65%, totally screwed on the yield beta and derivative stuffs. I think CFAI realized the mistake they got on 09 Mock and roll out the new one with lots of corrections. REALLY, be careful about information they give is the KEY for me …

Schweser - 1 AM 77 Schweser - 1 PM 77 Schweser - 2 AM 67 Schweser - 2 PM 65 CFA 2007 AM 78 CFA 2008 AM 69 2010 Mock 83 2009 Mock 72 I felt like I got killed on Schweser 2 exam so I guess thats good that I still ended up with a 66 which they say is probable passing. I feel like I’m being pretty harsh in the morning to myself so a few points here and there should bump me into the 70’s.
my scores are pretty random so far Sample-1 63 Sample-2 73 Mock-2010 90 I am looking for the 2009 Mock. Are these file sharing sites pretty safe? I did find some sample exams there but since I lost a laptop to spam a while back, am hesitant to downloading them. will appreciate feedback about a safe link that someone downloaded the 2009-Mock from recently. Thanks yodhava@yahoo.com
Wow after averaging in the 70s for most tests, I got a 60% on CFA Sample 1 and a 66 for Sample 2. I hate the samples, but at least they pointed out weak spots.
yes, first time. and just marked 09 real AM, with 74%, of course didn’t get the first IPS return correctly haven’t touched Stella at all even from Level I. they are more difficult than schweser? happyking02 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ndzhai Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > what the hell, I just got 93% for MOCK 2010. > and > > guess what all lost points are with the > questions > > seeming to be similar with 2009 sample. > > > > fxxk, dont know should be happy or worried, > > but the CFAI trick is so much different from > > Schweser trick > > > > just found a few other chaps are able to do > 90%+. > > it is easier than 09 MOCK which I got 65%, > totally > > screwed on the yield beta and derivative > stuffs. > > > > I think CFAI realized the mistake they got on > 09 > > Mock and roll out the new one with lots of > > corrections. Vol 1: 1 AM - 68% 1 PM - 80% 2 AM - 59% 2 PM - 73% 3 AM - 65% 3 PM - 68% Vol 2: 1 AM - 62% Sample 1 - 66% Sample 2 - 76% 2009 Mock - 68% 2010 Mock - 92% 2007 AM CFA - 71% 2008 AM CFA - 65% I thought 2008 was supposed to be easier?? I spent a good deal of time on alternative investments yesterday and there wasn’t jack about reverse cash and carry in the books. Also at least three stupid mistakes, was running out of time and didn’t have any time to go back and look over my answers. As usual graded myself pretty harshly but that was rather discouraging. If I fail certainly it will be because of derivatives and alternative investments… Oh well, on to the 2009 exam tomorrow morning!
Aimee, I’m in the same boat - 64% on 2008 this morning. At least we’ll know how to tackle those AI questions if they come up on exam day!
Schweser Vol.1 1AM: 77% 1PM: 90% 2AM: 76% 2PM: 85% 3AM: 75% 3PM: 83% Mock 2010 PM: 80% Mock 2009 PM: 77% what the… why are my score going down consistently? I feel that my knowledge is leaking away at an uncontrollable speed. I don’t have much time left and I don’t think I’ll be able to do questions on vol. 2. Given the trend, I’m looking at high 60s and low 70s on the real thing…
great scores, ur probably getting burnt out. yeah volume 2 is a waste at this point. with only a few days left focus should be on mock exams, samples, cfa old exams. schweser is useless at this point
