Priority of questions and which ones benefited you most?

Time is dwindling down and I realize I need to start prioritizing my questions. By next week I would have just finished all BB examples and was gonna start a few mocks. Which question types are best to focus on? I know for L2 the TT helped me pass but read they’re not too good for L3. So out of BB/Eoc/Tt/mocks which were most helpful to you and deserve a larger focus? I know mocks are the most important but would like some additional insight.

Thanks

Would like some insight in this question as well. Just did all the bbs and not sure how to proceed.

Prolly a mock exam first

Anyone care to share some insights?

I have not tried any Topic Tests yet but I find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t be good for L3? I am currently doing EOC and plan on doing the TT after then focus purely on mocks.

My strategy is EoCs during study, as in complete them after the respective reading.

For review time I did all TTs to practice the PM part of the exam. Now working through AM mocks. Both valuable as TTs are consistent with the vignette model which EoCs are often not. Don’t waste time on EoCs if you haven’t done them at all yet. Use them for areas of weakness highlighted by TTs/mocks.

I’ve never done BBs for any level. Schweser has some in their notes which I did review as part of the reading phase.

Hi MikeHams,

I agree with you on the fact that we should be questions focused at that stage and insights/feedbacks for those who have already practiced with several supports are welcome.

IMO:

For AM session, we’ve got many papers and corrections on our hands and anyone can organize her (his) practice as she (he) wants.

For PM:

I found TT “surprising” but they are convenient for “learning while practicing” because the practice mode allows you to get guideline answers continuously through your work. Moreover, you can stop whenever your want according to your time available.

Any mock is the best “real conditions” practice but it involves at least 4 hours to take it fully and review the provided answers when it is still fresh in your mind. I have no preference about the sources. I made one PM Schweser which I found hard but well written and useful. I keep the 2 CFAI ones for the end.

Agree with Moonborne for BB/EOC. At that stage I only use those when I feel lost with a topic (which is still the case! ).

Good study to everyone

I think pairing mocks with topic tests is generally a good plan. Drilling weak areas as well.
