Private Equity is introduced in both 2012 and 2013 curriculum (both reading 66, Alternative Investments) of CFAI text Vol 6. However, Closely Held Companies was introduced in 2012 curriculum (separately from Private Equity) too in reading 66.
Are these two terms used interchageably (have same definition) ?
