Hi all, got one document on “CAPITAL ACCUMULATION BY MEANS OF BANK DEBENTURE TRADING (FORFAITING) PROGRAMS, (Reference ICC No, 500 revised 1995)” Any opinions, thoughts? if you need a copy please write to archive.info80@gmail.com
wtf?
So check this out - http://www.global-funding.com/HighYieldTrading.htm So is olzhik a scammer or someone being scammed? I like the stuff in there about only a small amount of return is guaranteed (up to 12%). The rest of the article reads like one of those “My husband was deposed as the King of Nigeria and I need your help getting 17.2 million dollars from a bank account in Europe” e-mails.
JoeyDVivre, i think i’m the second option in your question… my former prof, who is CFA and bond portfolio manager says that this is very real market… i’ve checked some sites including this one 'cause completely new to this subject … so are you sure that this is BS? bests, olzhik
Forfaiting is absolutely a real market - that document refers to something that is not real. Forfaiting is about providing financing for export transactions and would usually be about buying debt guaranteed by bank letters of credit. If you want to get involved in it, I suggest that you call the international forfaiting association (or whatever the trade group is called) and ask them for reputable sources. Seems to me that all you would be doing for awhile is getting bank letters of credit, dealing with billing hassles, and getting paid for administrative stuff. Take the bank letter of credit out of the picture and you would need to do lots of intermediation that would not be about posting on AF.
OK Thanks for your answer !
